Redistribution of Wealth Buys Votes

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclination, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." -- John Adams
We cannot run from history, no matter how much we may want to hide, change or deny the truth; facts will always be there to prove us right or wrong. The problem has always been that no matter the mountain of evidence against the wrong perspective of economics those who through their ability of having mastered the art of deceitfulness can always count on the greed and laziness of those who expect to be taken care of. America has become more and more a place where those who lie the best and more often win.
Let us get it right, nowadays lies or deceitfulness is seen as a model to imitate in all areas of life. Regardless of people’s wishes, inclinations or the dictates of their passions, corruption, divisiveness, violence, crime, social instability and insecurity have become the norm rather than the exception and it cannot remain indefinitely as it is. How long do you think a great nation can survive under such a social climate of immorality? How long will those who are forced to pay for the whims of others remain passive and willing to be exploited under the forceful hand of a tyrannical government? How long? Just look back to history and to the present condition of the nations, a system that builds upon the backs of others due to greed is doomed to collapse. Those are the facts!
Now the words of Benjamin Franklin make more sense than ever: “Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.” Do you think we can outsmart history? Do you think that all the silver tongues (liars) in politics, education, commerce, science, pulpits, the world of entertainment, media, and so many more can outsmart the evidence against them? Of course not!
We should not wait until after the fact in order to find the result of their deceitfulness, we must become acquainted with their fraudulence before they propagate their evil ways.
It is a fact that 47% of Americans do not pay federal income tax. If you look at the polls every politician from all levels, including the presidency, supports this segment of society because people know that they can vote for individuals who can guarantee money, healthcare, housing, food, and so many "benefits". Benjamin Franklin had it right!
A closer look at the individuals who support and elect government officials to posts of authority are those who depend and demand government benefits. Corrupt politicians know this and must appeal to this large segment who are addicted to government dependency. The cultural mindset of entitlements splits apart a society and corrupts politician and government officials who are more than willing to buy votes by throwing some crumbs at them and continue to redistribute the wealth of the working class. Also in the process, these politicians become millionaires and want to hold on to their lavish lifestyles with the taxpayers money; there's plenty of evidence to back all this up.
The self-professed socialist George Bernard Shaw early in the 20th century stated that the redistribution of wealth would buy votes: "A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul." Can we trust corrupt politicians who are determined to enslave the productive class and takers in order to keep themselves in power and wealth? Jesus called this kind of individuals wolves in sheep's clothing.
Anyone who is misguided in believing that civil government was established to promote the distribution of wealth in order to bring about the general welfare of society becomes one with those who are digging the grave of this nation. James Madison said: "If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the General Welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one, possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one, subject to particular exceptions."
So, what are your choices? Benjamin Franklin said: "Repeal that [welfare] law, and ... industry will increase, and with it plenty among the lower people; their circumstances will mend, and more will be done for their happiness by inuring them to provide for themselves, than could be done by dividing all your estates among them." Your choice is to elect individuals who understand the value of morality in economics, which in turn means respect for the producers of wealth and a clear vision on how to most effectively help those who need to improve their lives. Any politician or public servant that does not understand the morality in economics cannot be trusted with the future of their communities, counties, states or the nation. You must send a clear message that you are not ignorant of the facts and your vote cannot be bought. Nor are you for sale or willing to be fooled by their rhetoric. You must prove to them that you are well informed and in total agreement with the founding father Noah Webster who made it very clear when he said: “In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide. Regard not the particular sect or denomination of the candidate -- look to his character.”
Every true Christian should remember his or her loyalty to the Sovereignty of God and His principles. Above all you must let your understanding shine with God’s truth about economics:
“The whole commandment that I command you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers. And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord…. “Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today, lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,… Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. And if you forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish. Like the nations that the Lord makes to perish before you, so shall you perish, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 8:1-3, 11-14, 17-20).
