Breaking the Ninth Commandment: Dirty Attacks Against Amy Coney Barrett
Nena Arias | August 28, 2020“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (Exodus 20:16)
God has given us Ten Commandments to live by. These are not suggestions or options, they are Commandments “set in stone” if you will. These Ten Commandments hold the key to peaceful and right living for all of mankind, not just believers in Christ or Christianity as a whole. These are meant for the entire human race and, I repeat, they are not optional. We will be held accountable by them whether we believe in God or not. Everyone knows exactly when they are violating every one of these Commandments because their conscious, that “God compass” inside all of us tells us and keeps us in check so we can live rightly.
On this occasion, I want to allude to the Ninth Commandment and address the serious, criminal violation being committed in our society by egregiously breaking this Commandment and literally destroying people’s lives on purpose, yet, without retribution. By engaging in this despicable behavior without consequences, people may think they are escaping man’s retribution and getting away “Scot-Free” (no offense to Scots) from any penalty and harm. But I have news for whoever you may be, you will not escape God’s retribution for this violation.
God considers this so egregious that he made this a Commandment of equal importance along with the others like don’t steal, don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, etc. God puts a very high premium on truth and so must we. We cannot live without truth. No one will be trusted without the existence of truth. The Bible calls our Creator the “God of truth” because that’s who he is. That’s his character (Isaiah 65:16). It is impossible for God to lie. “Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the Almighty will not pervert justice.” (Job 34:12). Jesus refers to himself as “the truth”. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
God forbids us to lie. This is especially egregious to God in legal testimony, which is what is about to happen in the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Even before the formal announcement of Seventh U.S. Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court by President Donald Trump at the White House on September 26, 2020, the down dirty attacks had already begun to pour in and circulate.
If we thought liberals in the Senate, and at large, scraped the bottom of the barrel with their attacks on Justice Brett Kavanaugh, we haven’t seen anything yet. Unless, we pray fervently and incessantly through this process for God’s intervention, which he can do.
There can be no other way to describe this rabid behavior but as EVIL. Not even the children of this lovely Barrett family are off limits to these angry, foaming at the mouth, liberals. Without provocation or evidence, evil people have already even insinuated that perhaps judge Barrett and her husband may have even illegally adopted two of their children from Haiti.
The Barrett’s Catholic religious beliefs are mercilessly being disparaged in violation of their First Amendment rights. Do people not know that John F. Kennedy was a Roman Catholic? Do they not know that Nancy Pelosi and even Joe Biden are Catholics? What makes the faith of this Catholic different?
These attacks and many more, have nothing to do with Amy Barrett’s qualifications to serve on the Supreme Court. Make no mistake—this is politics to destroy a person and her family. Thus, totally violating the Ninth Commandment and the laws of our land which punish slander and defamation of character. That is a fight directly aimed at God. Again, I repeat, it is, in one-word evil.
We must vociferously attack this criminality in plain sight. This disgusting attack should be denounced by every politician on both sides of the aisle. We don’t need to continue to slide down this slippery slope of immorality, we have enough immorality to deal with already without adding to it.
Please contact your representatives in Congress to cease and desist from this abhorrent behavior.
